Adrian Gonzalez Expected to Play Right Field Against Houston Astros on Saturday Interleague play is almost over, and with the first pitch in Houston just over four hours away, it's looking like Terry Francona wants to give David Ortiz more at-bats to help carry the offensive momentum from Friday's 7-5 victory.

The Boston Herald reports Tito is "heavily leaning toward" plugging Adrian Gonzalez in right field and Ortiz at first base for the second time in interleague games played in National League parks this season. Friday night's game was the seventh straight game in a National League park for the Sox, with two more to play Saturday and Sunday, and Francona has voiced his displeasure with that fact in recent weeks.

Ortiz, the regular designated hitter for the Sox, has not been able to get many at-bats in interleague play because of Gonzalez's presence at first base. Gonzalez's bat and defensive prowess at the position has forced Francona to keep Ortiz out of the lineup in every game on the road trip except Wednesday's game against the Phillies.

Neither Gonzalez nor Ortiz saw much action in right field and at first base, respectively, on Wednesday.
