Andrew Miller Picks Up Another Win, Despite Battling More Control Issues

Andrew Miller had a pretty good pitching line when it was all said and done on Wednesday afternoon. He went 5 2/3 innings, didn't give up a run and came away with his fourth win of the season. However, struggles with command and control reappeared, as evidenced by six walks from the big lefty.

Miller, who has pledged following recent starts to get more aggressive within the strike zone, said that he may have been working too quickly on Wednesday in an attempt to avoid the brutal heat.

The southpaw did do a good job of working out of some jams on Wednesday, including getting Craig Tatum to ground into a huge inning-ending double play in the second inning.

Hear Miller talk about that play and the rest of his outing in the video above.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
