Think you had a special Independence Day?

Imagine what it was like for Boston native and petty officer Bridget Lydon, who hadn’t seen her family in six months before surprising them by emerging from Fenway Park’s Green Monster prior to Monday afternoon’s game.

Lydon, who then threw out the first pitch in front of a tearful audience, has been aboard the USS Ronald Reagan supporting operations in the Middle East and assisting tsunami victims in Japan.
