Dylan Sylvia Explains Tears of Joy Brought On After Receiving Baseball From Josh Beckett

The Sylvia family was going to have a day to remember on Thursday afternoon when three generations of the family took in a Red Sox game all together for the first time. Thanks to Josh Beckett, though, the day became absolutely unforgettable.

On the Red Sox right-hander’s way into the dugout after warming up in the bullpen, Beckett handed the baseball he used during his warmups to a young fan by the name of Dylan Sylvia. After receiving a ball from his favorite player, Sylvia burst into tears of joy.

Dylan, his father and grandfather stopped by NESN Daily on Thursday night after the game to talk about the special moment for the entire family.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
