ESPN College Basketball Analyst Jay Bilas Tweets Young Jeezy Rap Lyrics

ESPN College Basketball Analyst Jay Bilas Tweets Young Jeezy Rap Lyrics In between his usual college basketball work for ESPN, Jay Bilas jumped on his Twitter account and began tweeting some Young Jeezy lyrics.

Surprised? So was most of Twitter.

Skeptics couldn’t believe that the 47-year-old Bilas — yes, that Jay Bilas — was really tweeting lyrics of an artist whose song credits include “My Hood,” “Corporate Thuggin'” and “Umma Do Me.” Yet believe it or not, when asked by Complex Sports if the tweets were true, an ESPN PR director confirmed it was indeed Bilas.

“Yes, it was him, having some fun,” the ESPN rep told Complex.

Bilas was defiant on his Twitter page, defending his music choices.

“Told I’m not supposed to listen to Jeezy, or give daps,” tweeted Bilas. “That ain’t happening. Real recognize real, I suppose. I don’t get mad, I get money.”

“People think I’ve been hacked. Nope,” read another Bilas tweet. “Pink ring a hundred grand but keep that on the d-low. Can’t a guy like Jeezy and Cal Naughton, Jr.?”

No hate here, Jay. At NESN, real recognize real.
