Kevin Youkilis, Jason Varitek and Red Sox manager Terry Francona are featured in a video that the Boston Red Sox released Friday, showing support for the organization "It Gets Better," a group designed to help prevent the bullying of the LGBT youth community.

The organization's website provides support through encouraging video messages, and the Sox are the latest to create an uplifting video.

Eric Maitland, a Red Sox greeter and Wheelock College counselor, TJ Connelly, Fenway Park’s DJ, Kristen Rosa, a student at Smith College and Alison Tippett, a student at Lexington High School and daughter of Red Sox director of baseball information services Tom Tippett, are also shown in the video.

"You are not alone," Youkilis says in the video. "It doesn't matter your sexual orientation, your beliefs in life."

"It's OK to be your own unique being," Varitek follows.

Francona urges teens being bullyed to talk with someone "whether it's teachers, counselors or friends."

"Don't be scared," Youkilis says. "A lot of people go get counseling — myself included."
