The NFL labor negotiations took another ugly turn on Thursday night, and again, it stems from a lack of trust felt by the players.
This time, the players are upset after they felt the owners tried to pull a quick one on them by approving a new labor deal on Thursday night. As NESN.com's Jeff Howe and The Boston Globe's Shalise Manza Young reported on NESN Daily, the players feel that by passing a new labor deal, the owners are trying to make the players look bad. According to player reps, the deal was done without much consultation from the players, and that is something that has them upset.
Not surprisingly, the players did not vote to approve the new deal on Thursday night.
