Soon after the NFL lockout officially ended on Monday, Redskins quarterback John Beck decided to get a head start on things and set off for Redskins Park. However, when he arrived, he didn't exactly receive a warm welcome.

Beck was turned away by a security guard, and it wasn't just because players aren't allow to report until Tuesday. Instead, the guard sent Beck away because he didn't recognize him, The Washington Post reports.

Beck wasn't hurt emotionally after being shut down, though.

"I'm OK with that," he said. "I haven't done anything yet."

With Donovan McNabb a free agent, Beck is expected to compete with Rex Grossman for the starting quarterback job in Washington.
