Liverpool’s lengthy pursuit of Blackpool midfielder Charlie Adam has been an up-and-down process, but it appears that a transfer deal has finally been completed.

LiverpoolFC.tv reports that the two squads have agreed to the transfer of the Scottish midfielder to Anfield. Adam is reportedly on his way to Merryside for a physical and to discuss personal terms of the deal with Liverpool.

After Blackpool had been holding out for £9 million for Adam’s services, they will reportedly get £7 million plus a Liverpool player in the transfer deal.

Adam, 25, scored 12 goals and added eight assists for Blackpool in the 2010-11 Premier League season.
