Being a number one overall pick, Washington Nationals prospect Bryce Harper had to fit in with the top picks around sports that had preceded him. Allen Iverson. Josh Hamilton. Jake Long. What do they all have in common?

Tattoos.

Harper decided to join this exclusive crew and took to a tattoo parlor on Wednesday. For his art, the catcher decided to pay tribute to his parents. On his right wrist, Harper got the word "Pops."  On his left, "Mom."

With batting gloves and a catcher's mitt, Harper's tattoos won't regularly be seen. When the prospect realizes this, will he decide to follow the path of, say, former No. 1 pick Kenyon Martin?
