The "Red Sox Showdown for the Ages" is two rounds in, and the search for the best all-time Red Sox lineup has just begun.

Red Sox center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury was named to his first All-Star team recently, and while he may one day be one of the best to roam center at Fenway, he's still got a way to go to be considered one of the best in franchise history.

The first true legend in center for the Sox was Hall of Famer Tris Speaker, who only played seven seasons in Boston, but made his mark with an MVP season in 1912 when the Sox won it all. Fred Lynn has the distinction of being one of the most popular Red Sox on some of the franchise's most popular teams, but he was also a pretty darn good player, too. And while his brother may be better known for what he accomplished in New York, there's no denying the fact that Dom DiMaggio was one of the best center fielders in club history.
