In what is becoming an all-too-common theme for the Revolution this season, the team once again let a halftime lead slip away, as they played the New York Red Bulls to a 2-2 draw on Saturday night.
The Revolution received two first-half goals from Milton Caraglio — one in the 15th minute and the other in the 37th minute — but struggled after the intermission.
Red Bulls midfielder Dane Richards took over in the second half, scoring two goals of his own in order to even up the score.
Richards' first goal came on a breakaway in the 53rd minute. His second goal came as each team played with 10 men in the 87th minute.
The Red Bulls conducted a furious rally down the stretch, culminating with Richards' late goal, which came when he tapped in a Joel Lindpere pass.
The Revs' Kenny Mansally was ejected in the second half upon receiving his second yellow card of the match.
The blown leads marks the third consecutive match that the Revs have led at halftime but failed to come away with a victory.
