Not that Rex Ryan would care, but it’s probably a good thing that his New York Jets won’t be on HBO’s Hard Knocks this season.

Not because of the hype surrounding his team in preparation for another Super Bowl run, but because he wears shorts during practice. And when you get a tattoo on your lower leg, you can’t hide it wearing shorts.

The new tattoo, running from just above his ankle to just below his knee, looks ridiculous. But when you predict a Super Bowl win year in and year out, you’ve got to do something to change your luck.

Re-signing some big name players and bringing in outside help seems sufficient, but what’s the difference between inking a contract and inking a leg?
