Ryan Kesler underwent surgery Tuesday to repair a labrum in his hip and will likely miss the entire month of October, FOX Sports reports.
Kesler also underwent surgery for a hip labrum in January 2007.
Kesler injured the hip against the San Jose Sharks in the Western Conference Final and was clearly a different player after that. Through 18 games in the playoffs, he had 18 points. He had just one assist in the Stanley Cup Final against Boston.
Bruins defenseman Johnny Boychuk's hit in Game 1 of the Final certainly didn't help either
