Injuries are starting to take their toll on the Patriots.

Linebacker Brandon Spikes (ankle), safety James Sanders (hamstring), running back Shane Vereen (hamstring), wide receiver Brandon Tate (hamstring) and cornerback Ras-I Dowling (hamstring) have all missed time in training camp, and their issues have been revealed by sources.

Due to the abrupt transition from the lockout to training camp, hamstring injuries have popped up across the Patriots' locker room, and it's certainly not limited to Gillette Stadium.

Vereen and Dowling have missed three consecutive practices, while Spikes and Tate have been out of the last two sessions. Dowling and Tate have attended practice, but they haven't been able to participate. Sanders has missed five practices in training camp, including the last two.
