Hockey fans no longer have to wait for Sunday afternoons or the start of the NHL playoffs to hear Doc Emrick and Pierre McGuire calling games.

Since NBC's merger with Comcast, the network has finally rebranded Versus to the NBC Sports Network. Once the calendar turns to January 2012, the new name for hockey's national channel will take over.

Emrick and McGuire, along with the rest of the NBC Sports Network staff, will now call games during the week.
