Wes Welker, Dan Koppen Might Be Next in Line for Contract Extensions FOXBORO, Mass. — Wes Welker, you're up. And you're not alone.

Now that the Patriots and left guard Logan Mankins have ended their highly-publicized contract squabble, they might try to turn their attention to others, if they haven't already.

Welker has never demanded a contract extension, but his deal expires after the 2011 season. And when players are in their last year, they do appreciate a little extra security.

Welker, wide receiver Deion Branch, offensive lineman Dan Connolly, running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis, linebacker Gary Guyton, center Dan Koppen, safety Brandon Meriweather, linebacker Rob Ninkovich and safety James Sanders headline the class of players who are in a contract year.
