Hailing from Williamsport, Md., the Conococheague squad cruised through district play, including a 30-2 blowout victory. The team dropped its first game in the state tournament, but bounced back to make their third appearance in the East Regional.
While the team does not excel in any particular area, it has an ability to squeeze out victories. It can score runs when needed and can finish close games. In the state tournament, three of the team’s victories were within four runs. In its clinching-win, Conococheague defeated Elkton 14-10.
