It isn't too surprising to hear a player say that his team is going to continue playing as hard it can, especially when that player is Dustin Pedroia.
But Pedroia's response to questions about the team's struggles and now the tie atop the AL wild-card race shows that the Sox are focused solely on taking care of their own business, rather than worrying about what Tampa Bay is doing in its games.
Pedroia has continuously simplified matters when asked about the Red Sox' September swoon recently, and on Monday he continued to do so, saying that they just didn't score enough runs.
