Done scoring goals on the pitch, former Liverpool striker Ian Rush continues to demonstrate his class by spending his non-playing days throwing his considerable cache behind noble causes.

Liverpool’s all-time leading scorer, Rush is serving as ambassador and patron to the “Meningitis UK” campaign dedicated to raising funds to combat the crippling disease.

Speaking of his involvement, Rush said, “I had meningitis as a child, and was very lucky to survive without any disabilities. Therefore, I am pleased to support this campaign.”
