The entire football-watching world got to see how good the defending Super Bowl champions, the Green Bay Packers, could be on Thursday night. Yet, it's the Patriots that Las Vegas liked entering the season to bring home the Lombardi Trophy early next year.

According to Bodog's Super Bowl odds, and Bill Belichick's crew just narrowly edged the defending champs. New England is an 11-to-2 favorite to win the big one, while the Pack follows just behind at 6-to-1.

Rounding out the top five favorites are Philadelphia (8-to-1), San Diego (10-to-1) and the New York Jets (12-to-1).

The Indianapolis Colts were given 30-to-1 odds, yet it's important to note that the listed odds were released on Aug. 24. Since then, it's become all but certain that All-Pro quarterback Peyton Manning will miss most, if not all, of the season with a neck injury.
