The Bruins played with a lot of emotion on Tuesday night versus the Carolina Hurricanes. But they weren't able to execute the X's and O's, and the B's suffered a 4-1 defeat.
Defenseman Andrew Ference felt like the offensive pressure was pretty strong from the B's but that the defensive zone coverage wasn't up to its usual standards in the loss.
Ference also weighed in on the power play, which has been an area that's been analyzed time and time again. Ference said that he's been pleased with what he's seen out of the power play this season, and he feels like it's a lot further ahead of where it was last season. He also said that they've had better puck movement, but that they need to finish on second-chance opportunities.
