Boston College is struggling on the gridiron this year, sporting a 1-5 record on the season with that one win coming against lowly FCS opponent UMass.
The school's difficulties have also apparently extended to the greatest of all football traditions: tailgating.
BC has the worst tailgate in all of college football, if you trust the opinion of sports blog Gunaxin (with a hat tip to YardBarker).
Nobody would argue that BC's tailgating scene rivals that of a SEC school or an ACC rival like Clemson, but worse than Boise State, Notre Dame, Duke and even the U.S. Military Academy? Really?
In a ranking of the top 10 worst tailgates, "Boston College manages to combine many of the worst aspects of the other nine tailgates," according to the site. It cites a lack of knowledge or excitement surrounding the team, the tiny and expensive tailgating spots as well as the short time allowed for tailgating both before and after the games.
But the worst of it, according to the article? "Not even the coeds can redeem this campus."
Ouch.
