After putting together perhaps the greatest season by a goaltender in NHL history, Tim Thomas hopes to put together a solid encore performance. If Saturday is any indication, he could be in line to do just that.
Thomas stopped 25 of the 26 shots he faced against the Lightning, and he made some spectacular saves along the way.
After the game, head coach Claude Julien said that Thomas looked like he was in last season's form, which is always good to hear when "last season's form" includes a Vezina Trophy, a Conn Smythe Trophy and a Stanley Cup.
Julien also said that Thomas made it look easy against Tampa Bay, which boasts one of the league's more potent offenses.
