David Freese Hits Walk-Off Home Run to Give Cardinals Improbable Win, Force World Series Game 7There have been a few memorable Game 6's in Major League Baseball history, and Game 6 of the 2011 World Series will rightfully take its place right next to them.

David Freese hit a walk-off home run in the 11th inning to give the Cardinals 10-9 win over the Texas Rangers in an unforgettable Game 6 to force a decisive Game 7 on Friday night.

Freese, who grew up in the St. Louis area, forced the game to extra innings with a two-out, two-strike, two-RBI triple off of Rangers closer Neftali Feliz.

Josh Hamilton then hit a two-run home run in the top of the 10th inning to give the Rangers a lead, but once again, Texas got the Cardinals down to their final out, only to see the lead slip away. Lance Berkman singled in a run in the bottom half of the inning to tie things up.

Freese's home run ensures that baseball will see its first World Series Game 7 in nine years.
