There has been a lot of finger pointing lately in the sports world. It's always easy to blame or accuse people, but sometimes you might want to be a little more careful about what you say. Example: Don Cherry.

Cherry apologized to former players Stu Grimson, Chris Nilan and Jim Thomson for calling them "pukes" and "hypocrites" during a Hockey Night in Canada broadcast on Saturday night.

"I was 100 percent wrong. When you are wrong, you have to admit it," said Cherry during his latest "Coach's Corner" segment.

Cherry had previously ranted about the trio of former players, prompting the three to consider taking legal action against Cherry.

"I want to thank Don Cherry for standing up and making a public apology to the 3 of us," tweeted Nilan. "Means a lot. We are friends once again."

That's all well and good, but do friends sue each other? We're sure Cherry hopes not.
