It will be virtually impossible to look back on the Red Sox season with any degree of positivity. When you end with an audible thud and then two days of front office turmoil, there's nothing but a bad taste left in the mouths of many.
The organization cannot dwell on that entirely. It cannot stare at eight months of hard work (most of it, at least) and see nothing but negatives. The club has to take something out of the season. We chose to do the same.
