The Patriots promoted cornerback Sterling Moore to the active roster Saturday, and in turn, they released defensive lineman Marcus Harrison.
Moore had been on the practice squad since Oct. 5. Harrison, who was signed Friday, joined cornerback Phillip Adams among Patriots whose stay with the team this week lasted about 24 hours.
The release of Harrison is likely an indication that defensive lineman Kyle Love will be ready to play despite being limited this week with a back injury.
Moore is one of six cornerbacks on the active roster as the Patriots head into Sunday's game against the pass-happy Cowboys.
