FOXBORO, Mass. — The Patriots’ equipment managers were busy Monday, as they adorned the lockers with the team’s throwback uniforms that they’ll wear Sunday against the Jets.

They’ll be decked out in red jerseys, white pants and the white “Pat the Patriot” helmet for the only time this season.

The Patriots wore variations of the red-and-white throwbacks a total of six times in 2009 and 2010. Two seasons ago, when they celebrated their 50th season, they beat the Bills and Titans while wearing their throwbacks at home, but they lost to the Broncos and Dolphins on the road. In 2010, the Patriots wore them twice and beat the Vikings at home and the Lions on the road.
