Vote: What Was Greatest Game 6 in World Series History? The Cardinals authored a historical comeback on Thursday night — two of them, actually — that had baseball fans and writers wondering whether they had just seen the greatest baseball game ever.

Had they?

Think about the stakes: The Cardinals' season twice came down to its final strike, and the Cards twice delivered clutch hits. First was David Freese's two-run triple in the ninth, then came Lance Berkman's RBI single in the 10th. In the 11th, Freese was the hero, launching the game-winning homer through the St. Louis sky to force a Game 7.

It was incredible theater, but where does it stack up with Carlton Fisk waving the ball fair at Fenway Park in '75, Reggie Jackson's three homers in '77, Bill Buckner assisting the Mets to an impossible comeback in '86, Kirby Puckett's walk-off against the Braves in '91 or Joe Carter's Series-clinching homer in Toronto in '93?
