The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders are perhaps the most recognizable squad in the league, so when one cheerleader was forced to cancel her Twitter account, it generated some buzz.

Even more perplexing, though, is the reasoning behind the organization requesting that Melissa Kellerman cancel her account.

During the Cowboys-Dolphins game on Thanksgiving, tight end Jason Witten was pushed out of bounds, at which point he knocked over 22-year-old cheerleader. On Friday morning, Kellerman posted two seemingly harmless tweets about the incident.

She tweeted: "Not hurtin' today, like some of y'all thought I would be! Our TE isn't as tough as he looks… That or I'm WAY tougher than I look. ;)"

And then: "I'm not the best at Jason Witten trust falls. ;)"

Neither of the tweets seemed offensive in any regard, but the Cowboys must've felt differently, telling Kellerman to delete her Twitter account Friday afternoon with no explanation as to why, Yahoo! Sports reports.
