Jerry Jones Built Cowboys Stadium on Site of Bills Running Back Fred Jackson’s Childhood Home

The Bills will square off against the Cowboys in Dallas on Sunday, but one Bills player may still have home-field advantage.

That's because when Cowboys owner Jerry Jones mapped out his plans for the massive Cowboys Stadium in 2004, it was right on top of Bills running back Fred Jackson's childhood home, Jackson revealed in a video on the team's official website. The entire neighborhood would later be demolished for the stadium.

Living in Dallas, Jackson and his family were, in fact, Cowboys fans and were excited for the new stadium.

"It was kind of weird because you were, you know, like, 'Pretty cool. They're going to put up a stadium up here, but I gotta move,'" Jackson said. "It was one of those things where you were sad to move, because it was where you grew up and we were looking for a new house and all these things, but the goal was always to get into the NFL, and if I get there, hopefully I'll get to play in this stadium one day."

Before the game Sunday, Jackson plans to take a good look around his old neighborhood.

"Definitely during pregame, when I'm out there getting loose, trying to figure out, piece it together, you know, 'This is my friend Jason's house, would be right here where I am now.' Things like that, I'm sure, will be going through my head during pregame, and I'll definitely be looking for stuff like that."
