Each month, the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association and NESN will honor one male and one female student-athlete for excellence in academics, athletics and community service.
Students in grades 9-12 who attend MIAA member schools are eligible to receive the MIAA/NESN Student-Athlete of the Month award. Monthly winners receive a certificate and will be recognized on MIAA.net, NESN.com and NESN. They also will be honored at the annual MIAA/NESN Coach of the Year and Student-Athlete of the Month Recognition Banquet.
To nominate a student-athlete, please print and fill out the nomination form, and submit it to MIAA.
Nominations may be submitted by principals, athletic directors, teachers, coaches, guidance counselors and other school administrators. Nominations must be received by the last day of each month to qualify for that month's award.
Award recipients will be selected from September 2011 through Aptil 2012.
