It didn’t take long for Buffalo’s Paul Gaustad to step up and challenge Milan Lucic on Wednesday night. But the 6-foot-5 forward wasn’t done getting under the Bruins’ skin.
Gaustad decked Brad Marchand in the corner in the first period, which led to a big scuffle between the B’s and Sabres. The Bruins immediately took exception to Gaustad’s hit, which is certainly different than the way the Sabres reacted when Lucic leveled collided with Ryan Miller at TD Garden on Nov. 12.
Zdeno Chara ended up throwing down as a result of the scrum on Wednesday. Check out the rough stuff in the video above.
