Paulina Gretzky Shuts Down Provocative Twitter Feed After Conversation With Father, Wayne Gretzky (Photos)

Paulina Gretzky made a name for herself on Twitter by posting many provocative pictures of herself and her friends living it up in the Los Angeles nightlife. But recently, that attention might have been too much for the liking of her father, one NHL legend Wayne Gretzky.

Paulina’s Twitter feed has been discontinued, and the Toronto Star is speculating that her father’s involvement in a potential purchase of the Toronto Maple Leafs might have something to do with it.

According to the Star, before shutting down her feed, Paulina tweeted, “Having a nice sit down dinner with my dad about social media..haha #SIKEEE.” She then signed off on Saturday, writing, “Taking a break from Twitter for a bit. Happy Holidays!!! xoxo.”

Meanwhile, Yahoo’s Puck Daddy hopes that The Great One’s 22-year-old daughter may have only discontinued her tweeting activities until she can figure out how to better monetize the interest in her pictures. The Star notes that she has appeared on the cover of Flare magazine and recorded a song featured on MTV’s Laguna Beach.

The Internet is sure to eagerly await her return. After all, she had more than 24,000 followers on her Twitter page when she closed it down.
