There was an NBA sighting in Boston on Saturday. Sure, the lockout is still ongoing, but Rajon Rondo, Paul Piece and a number of other NBA stars hit the hardwood at Lavietes Pavilion on the campus of Harvard as part of the Boston Charity Classic.
Rondo hosted the event, but Piece was among the guests enjoying his time, even taking the second quarter off to sit in the stands with fans. Former Celtic big man Kendrick Perkins was also in attendance and received a standing ovation from the appreciative Boston fans upon his arrival.
NESN's Dara McIntosh caught up with The Boston Globe's Gary Washburn at the event, during which he talked about the good physical condition the players were in, the possibility of Pierce and others playing overseas and what the chances are that we'll have an NBA season.
