You just never know what to expect from children.

Before the Rangers and Hurricanes played on Veterans Day, 8-year old Rangers fan Joseph Cook took the ice for the ceremonial puck drop, as reported by SI's Hot Clicks. Cook did his duty and dropped the puck before shaking Eric Staal's hand then running off the ice.

It's not clear if Ryan Callahan was also expecting a handshake or just trying to return the puck, but either way, the kid completely ignored him.

The funny part is that Cook was wearing a Rangers jersey. So was he just star-struck or is he really not a Rangers fan?
