Freddy Garcia proved last year that he still has at least something left to give at the major league level, and as a result, he'll get another contract for the 2012 season.
NJ.com reports that the right-hander will sign a one-year deal with the New York Yankees. The deal is reportedly worth $5 million with contract clauses.
The 35-year-old right-hander was 12-8 with a 3.62 ERA for the Bombers in 2011, working 146 2/3 innings over the course of 125 starts.
The Red Sox were reportedly interested in signing Garcia as well.
