Another day, another name penciled in to interview as manager for the Red Sox.
Sandy Alomar Jr. will be one of the next two to interview with the Sox, according to WEEI. Alomar served as the first base coach for the Cleveland Indians the past two seasons, but was promoted to be the team's bench coach after the 2011 season.
Alomar does not have any big-league manager experience, but he does have a strong baseball background. His brother, Roberto Alomar, has been inducted into the Hall of Fame, and his father, Sandy Alomar Sr., played 15 major league seasons before managing in the minor leagues.
Mike Maddux is also expected to interview for the job, while the team has already conducted interviews with Pete Mackanin and Dale Sveum.
