Stevan Ridley to Be in Attendance As Major League Gaming Championship Comes to Providence This Weekend

Some of the best gamers in the world are coming to New England to take over the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence this weekend, Nov. 18-20, to compete in the 2011 Major League Gaming (MLG) Pro Circuit video game national championships.

More than 1.200 gamers from as far as Korea, Ukraine, Sweden and Australia will compete against locals for $600,000 in prizes playing Halo: Reach on Xbox 360, StarCraft 2 on PC, and Call of Duty: Black Ops on PlayStation 3 in a three-day, double-elimination tournament. New Englanders are encouraged to sign up and defend their home turf against the world class competition.

Gaming fans can also come a be a part of the gaming world by experiencing all the action live as they'll be able to watch and listen to commentators, cheer for their favorite players and visit a variety of interactive booths. Some of the features include meet and greets with pro players, the latest products from MLG partners, pre-release access to games and more.
