The Bruins finished at 35-41-6 for 76 points and failed to make the Stanley Cup playoffs. Over in the Western Conference, Columbus had yet another difficult season themselves, as they finished 33-42-7 for 73 points for their sixth straight season without landing a spot in the playoffs.
Leading the way that year — much like the majority of every year since his introduction to the NHL — was Rick Nash. Although he had a down year with just 27 goals, he finished with 57 points and earned a spot on the West’s All-Star team.
That season was the first since Nash’s rookie year in which a Bruins player potted more single-season goals than he did. Can you name the Bruins forward had more goals in the 2006-07 season than the Blue Jackets’ star?
For a select amount of Bruins games this season, NESN and The Four’s will be teaming up to offer B’s fans the chance at winning a $50 gift card to The Four’s Restaurant and Sports Bar by simply answering a trivia question found at NESN.com/thefours. Questions will be posted at noon every afternoon on the day of a Bruins home game, unless otherwise noted.
