Yann M’Vila is one of Europe’s top young players and a teammate thinks he will join either Arsenal or Real Madrid next summer. Kader Mangane believes M’Vila will leave Rennes at the conclusion of the French season, according to Goal.com.
“There has been no decision taken so far,” Mangane said. “He might go to England but he also likes the Spanish league. I don’t think he will leave in January but I think he will join Real Madrid or Arsenal next summer.”
Rennes rebuffed a number of transfer bids for M’Vila during last summer’s transfer window. Arsenal’s £22 million ($35 million) attempt was the highest-profile, but not the most expensive. The report says Rennes turned down bids as high as £26 milllion ($41.5 million).
Magane and other observers believe Rennes will not be able to hold onto its 21-year-old midfielder beyond the current season. The lure of glory and personal riches for M’Vila and a multi-million dollar transfer fee for the club will see the player move to one of Europe’s giants.
“The top clubs are right to scout him as I see him with a big career in front of him,” Magane said. “Yann has the potential to be one of the biggest players in the world. He has extraordinary abilities.
“You can see he is a fantastic player from what he does in training. Yann is good enough to play anywhere in the world. He is a complete player. He has a good eye for the game, he is technically excellent and he is also very good at defending and regaining balls.”
M’Villa certainly has the pedigree to attract and command the attention and price tag. He is a 21-year-old that is playing in his third full season as part of his club’s first team. He is gaining continental seasoning in the Europa League. He also has 15 appearances for the French national team and could start for Les Blues at next summer’s European Championship.
