Adam McQuaid is a tough player, but he certainly isn't a dirty player. So to see the defenseman receive a game misconduct on Wednesday was a bit surprising.
McQuaid collided with Ottawa's Nick Foligno, resulting in knee-to-knee conduct. The Bruins defenseman said after the game that he had no intent of injuring Foligno, although the winger was shaken up a bit after the play.
McQuaid received a five-minute major for kneeing and a game misconduct, which may ultimately lead to a review by the league.
