Bobby Valentine has hardly had a chance to sit down since becoming manager of the Red Sox. And when he has, it's been in front of reporters.
Valentine spoke before the media once again on Wednesday, and he discussed a number of issues, including the team's plans in terms of the rest of the coaching staff. The Sox need to hire a bench coach, a third-base coach and a pitching coach.
Last season's bench coach DeMarlo Hale left for the Orioles organization after six seasons in Boston. Valentine said he understands Hale's decision and discussed what it's like to be considered a manager-in-waiting, as Hale has been.
To hear Valentine explain, and to hear his outlook on the search for a pitching coach, check out the video above.
