The Bruins haven’t had any problems playing against the Maple Leafs this season, but the Maple Leafs could say the same thing about playing the other teams in the league. When you take out the three losses to the Bruins, the Leafs are 14-6-2 and only trail Boston by a point in the standings.
NESN Nation’s Dan Duquette is intrigued with this Maple Leafs team and wouldn’t be surprised if they put it together going down the stretch. But will this young team be able to grind it out for a whole season and continue to sustain their solid play? Or will they flame out and end up where many expected them to — at the bottom of the standings?
Dan asked our Twitter followers if the Leafs can be playoff contenders. Watch the video to see what they had to say and vote in the poll below to let us know what you think.
