NFC Playoff Scenarios Still Looking to Determine No. 2 Seed, NFC East WinnerThe NFC playoff picture is a little more clear than that of the AFC, but there is still plenty to be decided in the conference.

We'll also be waiting on a pair of NFC East teams until late Sunday night to round out the playoff picture, as the Cowboys-Giants game at MetLife Stadium will seal the playoff fates for both teams.

Here's what we already know:
Green Bay has clinched the NFC North. The Packers also clinched the No. 1 seed and homefield advantage throughout the playoffs.

New Orleans has clinched the NFC South. 

San Francisco has clinched the NFC West.

Detroit and Atlanta have both clinched playoff spots.

There is one playoff spot to be determined still.

Here's what we'll find out Sunday:

NFC EAST

New York Giants
Clinches NFC East with tie or win over Dallas.

Dallas
Clinches NFC East with win over New York Giants

NFC SOUTH

New Orleans
Clinches No. 2 seed and first-round bye with:

  • Win over Carolina and a San Francisco loss or tie against St. Louis
  • Tie with Carolina and a San Francisco loss to St. Louis 

NFC WEST

San Francisco
Clinches No. 2 seed and first-round bye with:

  • Win over St. Louis OR
  • Tie with St. Louis and a New Orleans loss to Carolina OR
  • New Orleans loss to Carolina
