When NESN.com ran a story over the weekend criticizing Indiana students for rushing the court after winning a basketball game in early December, it made a lot of sense. At the time, though, nobody was aware that a Playboy model was the bottom of that pile.

Megan Dills is a diehard Kentucky fan, and she shared her harrowing experience with VaughtsViews.com.

“All those fans came out of their seats and rushed the floor like idiots,” Dills said of Indiana’s celebration after knocking off the previously undefeated Wildcats. “The next thing I knew, I was knocked down five or six steps. I think the guy who actually knocked me down is the one who did at least pick me up. After I got hurt, I was scared to death.

“We have higher expectations for our boys and school to live up to,” she also told the website. “What happened up there would never happen at Kentucky. They were so distasteful and not very sportsmanlike. You would have thought they won the national championship. I just see us as different than other schools. Basketball really is like a religion and we respect the game. You would not have to leave a game in fear like you did [in] Indiana. Besides, if Kentucky had played to half of its potential, IU would be singing another song today.”

The real tragedy in all of this is that Dills had to cancel a photo shoot due to her swollen ankle that came after the trampling.

“I just can’t do the shoot with my ankle like it is,” Dills told the site. “But that’s OK because I do a lot of them.”
