Rajon Rondo’s All-Around Effort Not Enough to Top Carmelo Anthony, Knicks (Video)

Few Celtics have opened a season with the sort of bang Rajon Rondo made on Sunday.

The Celtics point guard finished with a final line of 31 points, 13 assists and five steals, but Carmelo Anthony and the Knicks were just barely better at Madison Square Garden.

The loss should not overshadow Rondo's excellent all-around performance, NESN Insider Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe stressed.
