American basketball fans have heard the rumors for years, and on Monday many of them got their first look at Spanish star Ricky Rubio.
The 21-year-old point guard showed off the ball-handling and passing artistry that made him so highly sought two years ago, when he was selected by Minnesota with the fifth overall pick in the NBA Draft. He had six assists and no turnovers in his first NBA game.
Although the T'Wolves lost to Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday, Rubio's play should give fans a reason to stay up to see Wolves highlights this season.
