Ryan Miller Run Over by Jordin Tootoo, Sparking Brawl in Goalie’s First Game Back Since Suffering Concussion (Video)

Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller returned on Saturday after missing nearly a month with a concussion. Nashville's Jordin Tootoo welcomed him back in a rather unfriendly manner.

With the Sabres leading 2-0 in the second period, Tootoo drove hard to the net as defenseman Christian Ehrhoff tried to poke check the puck away. Tootoo continued driving hard, though, and cut back toward the net, at which point he soared through the air and leveled Miller.

Miller, of course, hadn't played since Nov. 12, the game in which Milan Lucic collided with him and he subsequently suffered a concussion. The Sabres were heavily criticized following that incident for not immediately responding to Lucic's hit. The incident instead lingered until the two teams met again and Paul Gaustad dropped the gloves with Lucic.

This time around, the Sabres proved to be a bit more physical, with Miller getting in some jabs of his own.
